Dr. med. Johann Christof Ragg

My field of work is Diagnostic, Preventive, and Interventional Phlebology. These are the areas of venous medicine that deal with diagnosis, prevention, and treatment using micro-techniques (catheters).

I was born in 1957 and come from Bad Wildungen in Hesse. I satisfied my hunger for natural sciences at TU Hannover (Physics, Biophysics, Laser Physics, Environmental Medicine). Afterwards, I studied human medicine in Marburg and Berlin. Due to my dual qualification, I received very interesting assistant physician positions in 1990 with clinical and scientific content in vascular medicine (Cardiology, Angiology, Radiology). After passing my specialist examination, I founded my first interdisciplinary practice in Berlin in 2000, focusing on venous and arterial diseases, and in 2003, the angioclinic® Vein Center Berlin. This is an international specialist clinic whose facilities are always available to my patients. It also has a department for Aesthetic Medicine.

If you have read this far, it is probably out of interest in qualified vein medicine. I live to ensure that my patients are always a little better cared for than elsewhere. For this, I have researched for 25 years, specialized in modern vein medicine as one of the first, and always provided my patients with the best innovations. Since 2005, my clinic has succeeded in successfully treating every patient, no matter how complicated or demanding, using only minimally invasive techniques. Every patient has received my phone number, and although more than 250,000 examinations and more than 100,000 catheter procedures are in my logbook, I treat every leg, every arm, every abdomen, and every face with as much motivation as if it were my own.

Currently, I am investigating the possibility of healing diseased veins using valvuloplasty without having to close or even operate on them.
