Varicose Vein Removal... Endovenous Laser, Vein Laser, ELO, ELVO, ELVeS...

... are special procedures for the treatment of venous insufficiency and varicose veins: They work with laser light. It is an energy-rich form of light and, as the only modality in vein therapy, causes THREE changes simultaneously: 1.) Stimulation of the inner layer of the vein to close, 2.) Shrinkage of the muscle layer for a rapid disappearance of the diseased vein, 3.) with some wavelengths, immediate closure of the vein for increased safety (thrombosis protection).

The special feature of the angioclinic® vein laser used in our practice is an individual choice of wavelength (810 - 2100 nm) and the precise adaptation of each vein size to the laser beam through patented vein shaping (CPLA, coaxial perivenous local anaesthesia).

This type of vein laser (and ONLY this one!) has proven to be the most effective procedure in the treatment of saphenous veins (Vena saphena magna, Vena saphena parva): 100% assisted success, and after 12 years less than 8% recurrence (as of: 9/2015). It is also the most precise method with an accuracy of approximately 1 mm.
